Robert S. Trusselle, of Melrose, died at home on Jan. 22, 2012 at the age of 84. Bob was born in Chelsea, raised in Revere and a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1945. He attended Bridgton Academy in Maine where he played hockey for 1 year before going on to earn his degree from Wentworth Institute. Mr. Trusselle served in the Army during WWII. He resided in Melrose since 1959 and enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and was a pen maker. Bob was a founding member of Incarnation Church in Melrose, where he was active in CCD, renovations and the Holy Name Society for many years. Mr. Trusselle worked as a Draftsman for jet engines and the stealth aircraft for General Electric in Lynn for 42 years before his retirement in 1993. He was a loving, gentle & kind man and his family was the most important part of his life. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude I. (Garrity) Trusselle. Loving father of Susan M. DeMatteo & her husband Nicholas of Reading, Joan M. Mueskes & her husband Edward of Methuen & James R. Trusselle & his wife Rachel of S. Berwick, ME. Cherished grandfather of Robert & Lauren DeMatteo, Matthew Mueskes & his wife Jessica, Brian Mueskes, Megan Levesque & her husband James, Jessica Mills & her husband Shane. Caring great grandfather of Chase Mills & Jonathan Mueskes. Devoted brother of the late William Trusselle & his wife Emily of SC & the late Shirley Brackett & her late husband Frank. Brother in law of Rev. Francis D. Garrity Sr. Priest Retired of Salem & Virginia Grayson & her late husband Bernard, also of Salem. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.
